Well, we should obviously start with the most important and most exciting news… that our new online show Theo is now up and running! We are so pleased with the results and we hope you will be too. There are still bits and bobs we want and need to change, a few things are missing etc etc, but for starters we are mightily proud of the result. So, have a look around, let us know what you think! We are happy to receive whatever feedback you want to give us, the good, the bad and the evil. Oh, and remember, it’s an online SHOP….you know, SHOP, where you buy things kinda SHOP. You catch my drift!

Is it a pen?
How amazing is this little object. Handmade in Germany, this is surely every Engineers (well, I’m not really an engineer, but I still love it) dream come true. Caliper rule? Tire tread gauge? Ruler? Thread scale? Writing instrument? The
Messograf
is all of these in one.
This amazing multipurpose instrument is made from chrome-plated brass.
Many have tried to copy it — none have succeeded.
This is the original.
And we are
the only place in the UK where you can get your Messograf.

Other Theo’s we like
We are now fully embracing our new alter-ego and want to celebrate our new name. And let’s not just stop there; let’s celebrate all the Theo’s in the world. Ok, maybe not all of them, that would simply take too much time and we do have other things to do but let’s find one every month! Theo of the month!! And to kick off, our very first Theo of the month was suggested to us by
Partick Morris from BOSKKE (he designed the amazing SKY Planters):
Theo Jansen
is a Dutch artist and kinetic sculptor. He builds large works which resemble skeletons of animals and are able to walk, using the wind on the beaches of the Netherlands. His animated works are a fusion of art and engineering.
Check out his work…
it’s completely amazing!!! If you want to suggest a Theo of the month, please E-mail us at
hello@theo-theo.com
and tell us who, and why that Theo deserves to be Theo of the month.

We used to sell those back in the brick and mortar shop days and loved them then, so we couldn’t possibly start Theo without these completely amazing Graphite Objects by Artist Agelio Batle. Intricately detailed, functional art objects cast in graphite. Each one is handmade in Batle’s Studio in San Francisco. Each one is beautifully packaged with signed literature and a lovely gift box. Writes like a pencil. Won’t rub off on your hands. Agelio keeps changing the designs so the same ones are never around for too long. We have five different ones available. Not sure if it’s the Eagle or the Olive Branch which s our personal favourite.

Ok, this is it for this time. But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait for too long for the next one. We try to get a newsletter to you on a monthly basis from now on so you are well and truly kept up-to-date about what’s happening here at Theo.
Catcha later!
